NAofA PARTNERS WITH EVERY KIDS SPORTS

National Academy of Athletics partners with Every Kids Sports to provide Youth Sports Scholarships to ensure every kid has the opportunity to play sports.

Santa Rosa, CA (July 13, 2021) – National Academy of Athletics (NAofA)

The NAofA is excited to announce that they will now be able to support The Every Kids Sports initiative to offer the Every Kids Sports Pass to qualified families that wish to participate in their NAofA League programs.

Through the signature program, The Every Kid Sports Pass, qualified families could receive up to $150 four times a year, per child, for participation in recreational sports leagues.

“We have always worked with our City Partners to provide our services at affordable rates to each local community we serve but wanted to do more to ensure every kid has the opportunity to participate. Aligning ourselves with Every Kids Sports will allow us to help get the word out that there is a solution for parents that need support. The Every Kids Sports Pass will allow them to offer their child the same league experience as any other kid,” states the Founder and CEO Aaron Locks. “We believe there are many life lessons kids learn by playing team sports—our trademarked teaching method TALK.TEACH.PLAY.® helps build confidence, optimism, and social skills. We fight to diminish childhood obesity by making sure kids play hard and have fun playing sports and getting exercise. No child should miss out on this.”

The National Academy of Athletics offers a variety of 10 different types of sports throughout the year, including an All Sports program that allows kids an introduction to a variety of sports. Seasonally they offer complete League Management from registration processing, uniform acquisition, volunteer coach training, and game-day coordination. They have partnerships with NFL Flag and the Junior NBA and offer their signature league programs. They will now promote the Every Kids Sports Pass in conjunction with the Leagues they manage.

Every Kid Sports encourages sport sampling, as research shows that playing various sports allows for greater physical literacy, better socialization, and greater enjoyment in being physically and emotionally active. It prepares kids for a lifetime of activity, connection, and positive experiences. Any parent or guardian of a child who would like to enroll in a sports program and who qualifies for a government assistance program such as SNAP, WIC, or Medicaid can apply online. Applicants are approved within 5-7 days and then provided an electronic payment card to assist them in payment when they register their child. Every Kid Sports requires that the family pay at least $10 of the registration fee so the family will need to work with the league to process two payments.

“We are thrilled to be working with NAofA and helping more kids participate in their amazing programs. Their model for engaging kids aligns with our philosophy of using a recreational sports model to help kids develop into their best selves. The research overwhelmingly shows that kids who play multiple sports throughout the year do better in school and life. They learn the skills needed to thrive in life.” Stated Natalie Hummel, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Every Kid Sports.

Aaron and his team are absolutely top notch and have a genuine passion for teaching kids’ valuable life skills through sports and play. They’ve developed a program that fills the gap in many communities for youth sports that isn’t focused on hardcore competition and crazy travel schedules. You’re awesome. Great job NAofA!

NA of A is filled with great mentors, and coaches. It truly makes me feel positive knowing the culture here has an impact on our players enhancing their skillset, mindset and overall health. Na of A especially makes it easier for me as a coach for when I am provided with all the proper equipment and gear to ensure the children/players have everything they need in order to play hard and have fun!
