California, April 22, 2020 ‐ The National Academy of Athletics provides youth physical education programs for boys and girls throughout California. With a proven track record of providing safe, fun and educational sports camps and clinics, they have become a preferred partner to City Recreation Centers, Schools and Youth Sports Leagues.

Geared up to run over 900 youth sports programs this spring and summer, the spread of the Coronavirus put their programs on hold. Aaron Locks, CEO and Founder of the NAofA, looked for a solution to keep kids in their communities healthy and active while told they couldn’t go to their favorite sports camp during this break. He also wanted to keep his team employed.

“I am amazed and so grateful for the amazing team here at the National Academy of Athletics and excited to be able to come together so quickly to produce these opportunities to help kids stay active, learn skills and have fun under such challenging times.,” said Aaron Locks.

Many of the NAofA Area Captain’s are former college and pro athletes so they are not only dedicated to keeping youth sports fun and educational, they are passionate about how youth sports gave them the opportunity to grow into active, healthy adults.

When word got out about their virtual sports camps, Ken Taylor, former professional American football defensive back who played cornerback for two seasons for the Chicago Bears and the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League, did not hesitate to join in the fun.

Ken Taylor Partners with the NAofA

“I have known the organization for some time now and know that they have a passion to teach life’s lessons through sports. They have shown me nothing but integrity and a team of committed professionals that are great at what they do. I am happy to lend my experience and expertise from the world of NFL skills training,” said Ken Taylor.

Ken continued, “It has been my life’s pleasure to train and mentor thousands of athletes over my 30-year career and I am so delighted to partner with The National Academy of Athletics. This is a great time to reach out and spread the good that is sports during these unprecedented times.”

Ken Taylor was a member of the Bears team that won Super Bowl XX following the 1985 NFL season and is currently a personal speed trainer for children athletes in Temecula, California.

Ken’s primarily instruction for young athletes is as a sports speed consultant. He helps athletes run and play their favorite game faster. “I teach the mental side of speed training to help athletes run faster through the science of movement efficiency. It’s teaching athletes how to think like a professional athlete.” If you’re ready to experience Ken’s drills for yourself, look no further then a click of the button on our Virtual Sports Camps page.

Aaron and his team are absolutely top notch and have a genuine passion for teaching kids’ valuable life skills through sports and play. They’ve developed a program that fills the gap in many communities for youth sports that isn’t focused on hardcore competition and crazy travel schedules. You’re awesome. Great job NAofA!

NA of A is filled with great mentors, and coaches. It truly makes me feel positive knowing the culture here has an impact on our players enhancing their skillset, mindset and overall health. Na of A especially makes it easier for me as a coach for when I am provided with all the proper equipment and gear to ensure the children/players have everything they need in order to play hard and have fun!
